This course teaches the intermediate skills for using a pistol in self defense.

  • One handed pistol operations, shooting, loading, unloading, and malfunction clearing.

Required Equipment

  • Eye and ear protection
  • A reliable defensive pistol (that you are comfortable shooting)
  • A belt or paddle mounted strong-side holster
  • A quality belt
  • 3 magazines or speed-loaders
  • 2 magazine / speed-loader pouches
  • 500 rounds of ammunition
  • Range appropriate footwear and clothing
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (plan on being outside)
  • Hydration (water)

Optional Equipment

  • A bag to practice drawing from such as, a purse, backpack or Maxpedition bag
  • Sun Screen
  • Bug Spray
  • Weather appropriate clothing (rain gear, cold weather gear)
  • Beverages / Snacks your own lunch, if you prefer
  • A hat with a brim

Prerequisites

Defensive Pistol I or the equivalent intermediate pistol training or shooting experience.
